I had to change my motherboard and after that I can't start anymore lm_sensors.

/etc/rc.d/rc.lm_sensors start
Starting lm_sensors: loading module i2c-viapro eeprom it87 No sensors found!

lsmod shows that i2c_viapro and eeprom are loaded, however, not it87.

/sbin/modprobe it87
FATAL: Error inserting it87 (/lib/modules/2.6.22.14/kernel/drivers/hwmon/it87.ko): No such device

locate it87.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.22.14/kernel/drivers/hwmon/it87.ko

The new MB I think is an assus, got it second hand therefore no specs.

What could be the problem and why with the new MB?

Thanks & regards

Sorry I do not have the answer to your particular problem,  But do know that most of the module problems I have had in the past ended up being the sequence in which they were being loaded.

New mobo probably doesn't have the same hardware as old one.
Try running sensors-detect, then edit the config file.

Thanks! I did sensors-detect already to no avail. Possibly the new mobo has no sensors. All the modules are loaded yet I get:" No sensors found!".
