My keyboard burned out. Luckily I found a second hand, however, it seems mouse is not necessarily equal mouse. When I plugged my current wheel mouse it played crazy then I tried my spare brand new one, the same. Got the mouse for children from my old computer a 3 button and it worked. Bought a new 2 button mouse and it did not work. Found my very old wheel mouse and it is working now. That was both on the console and in X.

I just wonder why one would have to test mice first. The new keyboard is an Assus the old one was ECS Elitegroup of apparently poor quality since one port after the other stopped working till finally the whole board conked-out.

Regards
