Installation problem - SWAP { SOLVED }
« on: April 19, 2008, 09:34:26 am »
Hi,

Perhaps not really a problem, but smthing I was concerned about - Ive partitioned the disk, made a 512MB space partition for swap, but then the instalation somehow skips the 'Choose SWAP' partition, I just get a 'Skipping SWAP installation' message on the screen and it forwards to Root mounting point choosing. And goes all the way ok from that point ( still installing as Im writing this, copying files to disk ).

Im using VL 5.9 Light B4. Computer is Celeron 400, 256MB RAM.

Did you tag the partition as linux swap..t,82..when you view the partition table it will show tags as boot and linux swap..if yes you can likely turn on the swap from command line after install
Everything Is Relative

Yeah, that helped - I did figure that out myself. Just had a different problem too, but seems its gone now - will post about it in the proper thread.

Thx for help.
