I've found these pages surfing internet. There are Linux eqivalents listed on the pages. Most of you guys must have found already these programs, but I guess it would be of some help for us newbs.

And thanks too from those of us who haven't used windows for a decade or so.  I was particularly impressed by the local database referrals on the first site and fully intend to try KNoda someday if and when I start using KDE again and if and when Vector puts KNoda on a repository..  Perhaps finally linux has come up with a alternative to dBase for the average desktop.

I'll mark it,  I remember my first look through the debian repository. search for any program got o results because all the desired packages were called ft5sat9cl 2.5 or something with no referance to actual package use that I could understand. so these type lists can have good initial value, and help find windows eq's for those who want to try windows packages...thanks
