Since your copy is ruined or whatever, You happen to have a spare that comes when you install Gslapt. It's named slapt-getrc.new. If when Gslapt is installed, and it doesn't find a copy of slapt-getrc. It will rename slapt-getrc.new to slapt-getrc. This prevents your configuration from getting wiped out.
So as root in a console:
mv /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc.borked
cp /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc.new /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc
Hope that helps
