Artwork Contest (Free prizes)

Attention all Vector Linux users!

We decided to extend the date for the artwork contest to allow more people to enter. We really want some entries and it doesn't hurt to try! Especially if you are going to get a free prize if you win.  Come on, let's have some fun!

Here's what you need to do:

Step 1: Create a cool wallpaper
All you have to do is create a cool wallpaper that is clean, and Vector Linux related.

Step 2: Make it the right size
Next you just have to have it in the right sizes. We want a widescreen version and a standard version. Preferably these formats: Widescreen (2560x1600) Standard (1600x1200)

Step 3: Submit your creation
Submit your wallpaper in this thread or send it to contest@vectorlinuxsolutions.com.

That's all there is to it. And you could win a really cool prize for your Vector Linux machine.

Awww, you probably spoiled this whole contest. Now no one else will want to enter. Those look really good Masta. Come on people, I know you are lurking out there somewhere. The more that enter, the funner it will get. Besides, what's the harm, you might get a free prize.

Sheesh, I know that my submissions aren't hard to beat, and I've seen many very, very good skilled artwork submitted in other places of the forum. I am positive that those same artists could show us some very nice stuff. I just can't figure out why nobody else has put anything on here.

Yes! Taunting rules! Sure you can submit more than 1 wallpaper. You can even make revisions to the wallpaper that you made as well. Thanks for submitting. Finally we might have a real contest here. That looks great budulay!

wow, those are good. I might have to do another one with some better strategy. I'm feeling nervous of the competitors' work here

Here's my effort:

I don't like blue so I made the wallpapers black. They are intended mostly for people with transparent terminals (like me), others might find it too simple and dark. Then again, I made them mostly for me but I hope others will like it too. 

They're made in GIMP, using stuff I found here.
(I hope GIMP merges the 3 separate windows it has because it's really frustrating after a while...)

Now thats what I call a wallpaper tommy. Its incredibly minimalistic but I can't remember a wallpaper like that before. It's innovative!
(I wish I was creative enough to do an attempt for that bonus disc, I guess I'll just wait for the next contest)

Will there be future wallpaper contests?  I have a idea for a wallpaper but it will take much time (if I can even pull it off).
