Afternoon everybody,

I have successfully installed Vector 5.9 Standard on seven machines now in two days. However, Ive got one machine that is refusing to get it's networking up and running. The card is an Intel Pro/100 ve and it is recognised on lspci. However, on ifconfig all I have is the loopback. I've noticed Caitlyn has had a similar problem with this chipset but hers was working to start with; this hasn't worked since install.

So far I have tried:

Code:
modprobe eepro100
/etc/rc.d/rc.network restart

along with uncommenting the appropriate lines in rc.modules.

XP and Slackware 12.1 are also on this machine and neither of them have this problem, both detect the DHCP without errors. When I try to start the network (from VASM on eth0) I just get "Starting network with DHCP ........ Failed" and no other errors.

Banging my head against a concrete wall with this one, please help.
