This is weird. For some reason, I lost the ability to restart or shutdown the computer when I'm logged in xfce.
The buttons are greyed, and I can only logout and then restart from kdm.

I have no idea what can have brought this about, as I have had the computer turned on for ages.

Any ideas??

Thank you.

Got it.
My /etc/sudoers file was missing. Apparently, as I was backing it up, I ended up removing the file from /etc.
Putting it back fixed it.
