Hi,
I'm just trying the VL preview now on my Lenovo Thinkpad x61 tablet. (I am also a relative newbie with Linux too.) My machine has 3 gig RAM and 160 GB HDD.
Its working ok for net browsing, although Japanese characters are not displaying properly (maybe the preview CD is limited?)
A couple of questions;
- If I get the full install, will I be able to run some virtualization software so that I can install Windows XP for occasional use? What would be the fastest VM option?
- Has anyone else tried VL on an x61? Should I run the 64bit version?
- I also have a Bluetooth keyboard but its not working with the VL preview.
