LimeWire/FrostWire?

I really like LimeWire and it would be nice addition to VL repo as quality p2p (Gnutella) client.

FrostWire includes all funcionality of free LimeWire version + a few features of LimeWire Pro and some additional features like chatroom. We don't need them both, of course!

Frostwire is java, and I'm not sure what the standard is to package it.
I suppose it could go into a self-contained directory in /opt.

In any case, if you download it, you can start it with:

for that matter, i simply download the source tarball from the website, unpack it somewhere (maybe even /usr/bin?) and just create shortcuts to 'runFrostWire.sh' and that works out just fine for me. i can even set my own custom icon (like the limewire one from inspirate icon set) just thought id throw that out there.

Yea, I missed that one. The program should definitely be run with that, and with a symlink from /usr/bin to that script.

Just for consistency, because /usr/bin only contains the executables, I thought it should go in /opt.
But, of course, it will work anyway.

I was just wondering if one should make a package out of it, placing the whole directory in /opt, making the symlink in /usr/bin, and putting the icon and the .desktop file in their right places.
