Also, there's still
for SH in /etc/profile.d/*.sh; do
   . $SH
done

in .bashrc, which prevents any scp from this machine.

I fear vpackager and vasmCC will not be ok in that RC because your gambas-runtime is 1.0.19
You should consider adding gambas2-runtime-2.5.0 or newer

gambas2-runtime-2.5.0 is in there as well. I added the older one because it had that version gambas IDE included, figured they should match up.

Okay, I apologize for the long delay. I tried loading RC2 without the office and dev packages and as mentioned performance increased significantly. Then prior to loading the office and dev packages I had added some of the individual components. This seemed to work. Then I went ahead and added the office package which was not a significant change (in my mind at least) as it is mostly just updating abiword. No problems after that. Then I added the dev package which slowed my machine down a little but not to the degree it had before. I hope to be able to "re-run" this scenario again tonight as my adding packages from the repo probably biased my end result.

I guess I no longer need to pursue this since testing is concluded. I'm downloading final now.
