I hadn't heard of xmms2. Might be fun to play with? I originally wanted xmms because that was the default player for another program called streamtuner, which is a very lightweight program that collects URLs for audio streams from a bunch of Internet radio sites. I first started using streamtuner with VL-Light on a legacy laptop. VL-Light comes with xmms pre-installed. So when I installed 5.9 SOHO on a desktop, and then streamtuner, I was surprised to see that xmms wasn't pre-installed, nor was it in the repos. Thus, my request.
