Don't know a thing about your card, but when I'm trying to set up VL on a unknown system. I always run:
lspci -nn
as root. The -nn will give you a text description of the hardware and the numeric ID's. These ID's will precisely tell you what you have. Googling these ID's have never failed me in finding a solution, if one has been invented yet.
Example:
lspci -nn on my laptop lists this nic card:
06:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller [10ec:8136] (rev 01)
I would then Google this number
10ec:8136 and go from there.
