I had the same problem and recently my coworker came to help with same problem.
Solution was to delete one or all linux partitions (not mbr). Apparently SOME linux partitioning programs create something unreadable for windows installer and it hangs. I didn't single out which ones.
It does sound like blasphemy Smiley
I believe the other solution is to edit partition table with a "good" program, make a change and it will be ok.
