The first question is "Choose your external interface:". Since I didn't know if it was eth0 or eth1
The easiest way to find out I can think of is to open a terminal and enter...
su
"YourRootPassword"
Enter your root password. You are now working as a root user.
If you are not connected wirelessly enter the command...
ifconfig
If you are connected wirelessly enter the command...
iwconfig
This should produce output in the terminal that will answer your question.
Vector is not in the list. What do I select?
I have Deluxe as well but the completed version and not RC1. It does not have 'Network Settings' where you suggested in the 'Control Center'.
That would lead me to believe that that is an application the developers would rather you did not use. However, I believe the answer to that question is 'Slackware'
but you will have to tell me it it is on the list.
I running Vector Linux 5.8.6 SOHO RC1 kernel release number 2.6.20.3
Consider getting the full version. RC's can be buggy, that there whole purpose, to flush out bugs in a potential release.
