HOWTO: Install compiz-fusion on VectorLinux 5.9 [SOLVED]

Where is this how-to? I have been merrily going round in circles clicking on links and doing searches but the How-To eludes me.

Didn't you look in the HOWTO Forum? It's right there on the second page. Typing HOWTO and compiz in the forum search would also have found it for you:

I followed the suggested link, which suggested another link, which no longer existed.

I was just following it to see what all the fuss was about.  I've never had to do anything more than open Gslapt select the line for 'compiz-fusion  version 20080108' and execute.  Then when installed I simply go Menu-->System-->Compiz fusion icon, and that's it. I'm running compiz.

Right clicking the compiz icon in the panel bar then gives me the menu to control how I want compiz to behave.

That being said, however, majisterludi is right. I couldn't open this link either.

Thanks! I did as you said you did and installed compliz-fusion and it works fine. I had tried installing something called compliz and got nowhere with it. I was just using it to test a video card that I plan to sell on ebay, and wanted to use the fact that it could run this compositing software as a selling point.
