Some questions for JWM
« on: August 26, 2008, 11:43:27 am »
Hallo,

Probably it's easy, but I didn't found a hint how to do it. How can I change the color of the Mouse Pointer in JWM? I can't find it in the .jwmrc file. Is it actually possible?

Also, is there an easy possible to get a battery monitoring in the tray? GkrlM is fine, but I would prefer a tray solution.

Thanks, greets, Ben

you need a mouse theme.
download one and place it in /usr/share/icons
then make a folder called default
inside that folder you will need a file called index.theme with the contents
Code: [Select]
[Icon Theme]
Inherits = crystalblue

where the name crystalblue would be the name of your theme

O.k. that works, thanks.

I found a battery monitor myself, so if anybody is interessted: http://freshmeat.net/projects/asapm/

The same programm but in a smaller, thinner skin that fits in to the tray bar you can find here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?mode=attach&id=8699

To show it in the tray bar insert the following in the .jwmrc file between the <tray> tags:
Code: [Select]
      <Swallow name="asapm">
         asapm
      </Swallow>

Maybe it would be good, to create a package for vectorlinux...

Greets, Ben
