Is the "Multimedia Bonus Disk plus SOHO extras" included with the "VectorLinux SOHO 5.9.1 Deluxe Edition" from http://vectorlinux.com/cd-store the same as the "Multimedia Bonus Disc" from http://www.vectorlinuxsolutions.com/?

GOt a bit of a bug. In VASM on two different computers when I start it, and click on any of the options, it restarts. WHen I start it from command line it gives the error "BAD STRING" Any ideas or did I get a bad burn?

@VgnFrnd:  The following is from my review of VL SOHO 5.9 for O'Reilly News at: http://news.oreilly.com/2008/07/vector-linux-soho-59-deluxe-no-1.html  It applies to 5.9.1 as well:

I should also note that the Multimedia Bonus Disc is also available as a free download for those who purchase the single iso from MadTux or who are running VL Standard. The downloadable version doesn't include the SOHO Extras, so you won't get software like Emacs or the Apache web server. Those would still have to be installed from the repository using either gslapt or slapt-get at the command line. I personally recommend the two disc or two iso set for anyone who decides to purchase SOHO as you really do get a whole lot more software in a very convenient package that doesn't require high speed access.

Anyone who has run previous versions of Vector Linux and who just installed the first disc will wonder where all the games have gone. Yes, they are on the second disc, and there is quite a variety to choose from.

Thanks Masta. That is the one I have. I had hoped that one was updated too. :)

Is that 5.9 SOHO Preview still better than 5.9 Standard Live?

I think the correct answer to that would be up to preferences :) . I'll will say that the STD live does install onto HD, and you can set it up as you like, and remaster to make your very own livecd. The SOHO Preview doesn't do these, because it wasn't meant to.

So, how awesome is the SOHO preview?  INCREDIBLY SO, that's how.

Seriously, this is beautiful.  I was half considering not upgrading the media box to 5.9 - all such thoughts have been wiped.  Definitely buying this now - I don't care how bad the AUD is doing against the USD at the moment.
