Hi guys,
I just downloaded from softpedia the free version VL5.9.1 SOHO-iso and made a CD out of it (using Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 FREE) but when I was about to boot from it, this error appeared:

Unknown keyword in config file
Could not find kernel image: linux

I'm not so adept in using linux distro so could you help me out guys? Thanks. Embarrassed

I take it you get to see the VL boot splash screen asking to press enter?

If that is the case, hit the tab key to see what's available then try typing one of the options listed.

Although I would bet you got a bad download.

try downloading from http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/veclinux-5.9/iso-release/VL5.9.1-SOHO.iso
or from distrowatch.

Perhaps a bad burn/download.

See if you get this md5sum on the iso:
4e3e89947cfb5f9dd307d814e36b0e9a  VL5.9.1-SOHO.iso

EDIT: Go for the download link in M0E's post.
