It might just be my imagination, but I think it actually opens Encapsulated Postscript files faster.
That blue bar flies.... Great.

Looks good here. It does seem a bit snappier in load time, though that may well be imagination.

Not so good on VL 5.9 light.  The .desktop file doesn't specify where to find the icon and it is NOT in /usr/share/pixmaps by default on Light.  The net result is no icon in the menu.  We actually had a complaint about this on a previous version.  IMHO either the package needs to place the icon in the proper place of use one of the GIMP icons in the /usr/share/icons tree and call it explicitly.
