There's nothing urgent about going to grad school right after college unless the career you want requires it. I was 47 when I started graduate work.

I'm weighing my options. Apparently, I can easily save $1000 (in USD) a month teaching English. But the choice will really only face me two years from now.

And, at any rate: 41 days left in this semester.

Alright everyone I got accepted to University of Buffalo. It's a really good school. I found out that among other people, Zhou Ji and Robin Li are alumni. But they make you take statics and several other courses that frankly don't have much to do with electrical engineering if you want to get a B.Sc and then M.Sc from them in that field. I don't know whether I want to go elsewhere for my Master's, or whether I will teach English abroad after completion of B.Sc and before start of M.Sc; but two years hence I should have a good long academic record to apply to virtually anywhere. (Cost being another issue altogether; the University of California system for instance would be exorbitantly expensive, barring scholarships and grants.) Fortunately, it looks like the EE track has only two classes I don't want to take: Statics and Gen. Physics I (ironically, Gen. Physics II and III appear easier)

Seriously, I am very happy for you but I don't care what you use for your nick in here.

On another note, I have a classmate from high school who, after finishing her master's degree, moved to Spain and started teaching ESL.  She lived there and traveled around Europe for about five years, learning a lot about various European countries and having a lot of fun.  You could I'm sure do the same thing in Asia or wherever you want.

Now, please go back to being hanumizzle since this is obviously not an epic fail. 

There are many epic fails that must be undone, and many insults that must be avenged, before I can assume any name other than 'Epic Fail Guy'.

But, regardless, my primary geographical interest has shifted away from the Indian subcontinent, in turn away from Scandinavia and then the Mediterranean, and back to East Asia. Reverting to that old nick would not make sense.

You could I'm sure do the same thing in Asia or wherever you want.

Yes, and a conservative estimate suggests that one year of working and saving here in the West = one year of comfortably not having to do anything elsewhere. And that doesn't count the substantial interest that would collect on an investment of thousands of dollars. Maybe I can retire early.
