
Couldn't successfully install Light version.
I first tried via vlinstall-iso script on a loop-device mounted VL5.9-Light-FINAL.iso from my other ubuntu installation, then re-installed everything
from the ISO on CD. Nope.
The installation runs fine. When booting the system, when X should come up, it just hangs with a weird purple-ish
blurred vector linux login screen. Can't do anything else than reset and reboot.
Starting on the other ubuntu partition, mounting the VL-light and setting in inttab the runlevel to 2,
allows me to boot VL-light into textmode later.
If I try to startx from there, I get a different reaction. X doesn't start, I get a
"Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting".
