rbistolfi has packaged the awesome window manager for VL 5.9 and VL 5.9.1.

FAIR WARNING:  rbistolfi writes: "As it is a very bleeding edge piece of code, it uses some devel versions of libraries and needs updates of some important components of the system.  I will write a howto about installing and configuring awesome as the unstable repo is not very popular."

Yes, you need to enable unstable as well as testing to try this.  Upgrading core libraries can cause breakage of other apps.  Any breakage should be reported in this thread.
