rbistolfi has packaged the latest version of the Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail client for VL 5.9 and VL 5.9.1.  This is a security patch which closes a number of known vulnerabilities, five of which are classified as moderate severity.  Security conscious users who are running an older version of Thunderbird may wish to upgrade.  The new package is currently in the testing repository but it will be moved to extra as soon as we have adequate user testing.
