A new Mozilla Thunderbird package closes a total of seven known security issues in previous versions.  Users who installed earlier versions of Thunderbird for VL 5.9, VL 5.9.1 or VL 6.0 from our extra repository will want to upgrade.  New language packs are also available.  Thunderbird is not part of a default installation of Vector Linux nor is it included in any VL iso.

For more details see:  http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/thunderbird20.html

UPDATE: New packages for VL 5.9 and VL 6.0 are currently in our testing repository.  They will be moved to extra once we have had adequate user testing.
