I've packaged hspell-gui, a graphical front end to the hspell Hebrew spellchecker. This package includes a stand-alone GUI app which will work in any desktop and a GNOME panel applet. The panel applet can also work in Xfce if the xfce4-xfapplet-plugin is installed. While the application only checks spelling of Hebrew words the UI can be in English.
