inkscape missing lib

Hello Everybody,

I just installed Vector 6 a few days ago and I really like it.
Though I have a problem with inkscape 0.46. I installed it
per GSLAPT and everything seemed to be fine, but when I tried
to launch it, nothing happened.
So ... I tried to launch it from a terminal, which gave me
the message that I am missing "libMagick++.so.10".
Unfortunately the missing lib doesn't seem to be available
in the repositories.
Does someone know where I can get the lib, or is this lib
maybe part of another package?

libmagick is part of imagemagick package IIRC. I can't remember if we have it in vl6 repos yet.

If it's not there, you can try a slackware package, or rolling your own imagemagick.

If you find that library, you'll have three or four more missing dependencies. The package from the repos doesn't get the missing dependencies. I've reported this three or four times.

I have Inkscape 0.46 installed in RC1 and I installed it in the earlier releases of VL6, too. I was able to copy the missing dependencies from other installations of VL on this computer. Maybe I got them from VL 5.9. Then I just copy whatever starting inkscape from the command line complains about. Not very practical if you don't have a working Inkscape 0.46 somewhere to copy those libraries from!

New inkscape package in 6.0 testing repo, please test it and let us know if it works.

Thank you All for yor fast reply ... and I got my problem solved 

First I removed inkscape ... then I checked if there is "imagemagick" installed at all ...
and it was (6.4.1_10-i586-1vl60).

I marked imagemagick for reinstallation. After that I went ahead to install inkscape again.
There were actually two versions showing up:
 ... i486-2sl   graphic/inkscape
 ... i586-2gsb packages/office

this time I marked the i486 version and it catched a few more dependencies,
sorry I didn't write them all down, but one was actually ... surprise,
"imagemagick". Though an older version "6.3.7_10-i486-1.tgz" or at
least different.

I had another little problem during installation, really minor, with gtkspell.
It just didn't run through all the way, but Ijust remarked it for installation
and the second time everything completed successfully.

Sooo ... inkscape seems to work now, I haven't worked with it yet, but at
least I was able to launch it. But I'm sure it is ok now.

btw what is sl and gsl standing for. I asume sl stands for Slackware, but the other
one I have no clue.

gsb stands for GNOME SlackBuild.  So far as I know we don't have any gsl packages.

It would still be very helpful if you could test the brand new Inkscape package built specifically for VL 6.0.  We'd like to have a current version in the repo that works well.
