I have been using VL for a few weeks now and love its speed. At the same time, I am not so fond of the xfce desktop and would like to try out the gnome desktop. So, using Gslapt package manager, I installed all the gnome files. I got the message that everything was successfully installed. So, I rebooted but did not get the gdm login screen so I looked in the session menu but did not see a gnome desktop option.

My question is, "How do I start the gnome desktop?"

Thx
