Hi Mike and welcome to VectorLinux!

I'm not in Nova Scotia, nor am I using 6.0---I'm using the 5.9 Light which has it all/does it all for me right out from the box. What a beauty this little distro is! I started using VL back around 3 or 4 years ago with 5.0 or 5.1, I can't recall which now. And I've been a member for about as long, I just don't post much as I mostly read. But I thought I'd welcome you to the forum and I do hope that you post more often than I have with comments and questions! ;)

By the way Mike: As I'd said I'm not in Nova Scotia but I am not all that far from you as "The Cat" travels. LOL! I'm across the "Bay" over here in Maine---which "should've been" another Maritime Province but ended up a State instead. ;D Honestly... we Mainers cross over at St. Stephens and go through New Brunswick and Nova Scotia feeling like we never even left Maine (or across the bridge to PEI). Travel west/southwest and enter New Hampshire and we feel like "strangers in our own country"! LOL! Really kind of odd how that is, eh?

Anyway Mike---welcome to VectorLinux!

Amicalement/Cheers!

Welcome, Mike!  I'm also not in Nova Scotia or even in Canada but I thought I'd say hi anyway :)

EyesOnly:  I'm sure you meant that New Brunswick and Nova Scotia were really meant to be states rather than provinces, right?  ;D   A lot of Francophones in northern Vermont, BTW, so that might be more comfortable than NH.

Aahh... no Caitlyn. That Maine should've been one of the Maritime Provinces, and in the past (oh... maybe 10 years or so?) there was an actual movement geared just towards that which they attempted to get onto one of the ballots here at the time. All a very long story and now part-and-parcel of our colourful "not-so-distant" past. :)

Doesn't effect me one way or the other as Akadien (a.k.a. "Acadian") is only my Mother Tongue by accident: I'm actually Native American with a little mixture of Irish and Continental-French thrown in so I might be able to grow a beard. ;D Mais lorsqu'il faut je peux parler parsien avec les autres---comme une vache espanoile sans doute! ;) MDR!

Amicalement/Cheers!
