Install numlockx.

Place this in in your /etc/rc.d/rc.local to activate Numlock at boot :
Code: [Select]
/usr/bin/setleds -D +num

Where did you find numlockx?  It doesn't show up in gslapt.

Straybit? Shows up in mine: 5.9 under "extra". The name is "numlockx". I use the startup script of whichever window manager I'm using to enable it, like in Fluxbox's "startup" before the "exec /usr/bin/startfluxbox" I place (without the quotes): "numlockx &" along with anything else I wish started and on it goes. :)

But anyway Straybit, it's in my GSlapt. Hope that was of some small help at least?

Four of the vectorlinux.osuosl.org/veclinux-6.0 (packages, extra, patches, and gsb) were enabled when I installed.  After sorting, I see mtr, ntfsprogs, and portmap.  I know I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the other three  ;D
