Video Problems with VL 6.0 RC3
« on: January 18, 2009, 04:12:08 am »

I am trying to install VL6.0 RC3 on a Compaq iPAQ machine but I can't get the display working. The manual posts that the machine has an on board Intel i740 graphics controller. None of the video modes offered by the installer would work. With version 5.9 I didn't have any problems.
What can I do?

Please remember that VL 6.0 RC3 is late stage development/beta code.  Problems are still to be expected.

Copy the /etc/xorg.conf from your VL 5.9 installation into VL 6.0 RC3 and see if that works.

Also, this post is in the wrong place for the developers to see it.  It belongs in the RC3 bug thread in the Distro Development section of the forum.  Can you please post there?
