hata_ph has built an updated Pidgin package for VL 5.9 and VL 5.9.1.  This package requires the updated gnutls package in our patches repository.  That gnutls package is a highly recommended security patch so if you haven't upgraded to it yet you may want to make sure you have the patches repository enabled and upgrade now.
