Politicians should not be so wimpy about feedback.
They lie and steal all the day claiming to do this in the name and on behalve of the people that from time to time an open word or hearthily throw shoe will not harm them deeply but stop them at least for a minute.

It was funny when the Iraqi journalist Muntazir az-Zaidi threw his shoes at Bush, but Wen is a higher grade of leader than George Bush is

Personally I think this move was in very poor taste both in personal and wider diplomatic terms on Jahnke's part, but I agree that he should be able to continue his academic pursuits uninterrupted

It would have been funny if Muntazir az-Zaidi hit Bush (especially because he threw very hard) but not in this case
