in vl 6.0

The printer hp 930c on a parallel port does not work.
Usually the device for the printer was /dev/lp0 but
in the folder /dev i can't find lp0 or lp1 or lp2
and more, i can't find a device related to group lp

why the devices for parellel printers are disappeared ?
and how can i have the printer working ?

As root, go into VASM or VASMCC and look under "Hardware Init Configuration" and be sure "parallel" is set to init. on boot. Then re-boot.
