Does anyone know of a MS Publisher compatible desktop publishing program for linux? I am running VL 5.9.1 SOHO and it comes with Scribus but occasionally I do stuff with MS Publisher documents on a Windows computer but I would like to do them on VL.

The following sentence is true. The previous sentence is false.

If you are asking howto open MS Publisher files, then I did not find any.

Scribus can also be used in Windows.

Another program that can be used is LaTex on Linux and MikeTex on Windows.

I am sure there are others.

You could try this site
http://www.zamzar.com/

I know it is not exactly what you want, but it will convert the pub files you have to .doc files and then you could open them with OO.

Hey Streched... thanks for posting that file-converter site.

cool and practical idea... now if they could just convert a negative bank account file into a positive one, they'd have a real hit!
