I have a Dell Inspiron 9400/E1505 Laptop and want to install linux on it. Has anyone tried vector on this model of laptop? If so what was your experiance? I know ubuntu is said to work completley on this model but i would rather have vector if it works.

What's holding you back from installing Vector on your Dell?

Put it on its own partition, then if it's not usable (a very remote possibility) just remove it.

Or, do as I do, purchase a spare hard drive to use for linux intallations.   Wink

it's only got a 100gb hard drive. I'll prob be using it for gaming for a few months after I finish basic training for the marines so was gonna dual boot it with windows for the games that don't work in linux. Don't want to upgrade the hard drive just to have it sit for 3 months.
