I suppose part of it is the user's standard of what "run" means. I read people using 64 megs claiming something runs well, but having done this in the past, I would NEVER say anything runs well on that.

I agree wholeheartedly - that is why I used the word "usable". Once you load a browser other than Dillo or Lynx (which probably 95% of users would do) 64MB becomes unusable, even with VL Light, IMHO.

I disagree.  HV3 runs just fine at a reasonable rate in VL Light, similar to Dillo, in 64MB.  Opera is very slow but is usable.  Most every other app in VL6 Light runs fine with the exceptions of gslapt and xmms.  Try SIAG (spreadsheet), PW (word processor) and you'll find they are very responsive and perfectly usable.
