I have an ATI HD2400Pro video card installed. I can get the 1600x1200 resolution but not the 1680x1050 resolution which is the optimum resolution for my monitor.

EndSubSection
SubSection "Display"
Viewport   0 0
Depth     4
Modes "1280x800" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
EndSubSection
SubSection "Display"
Viewport   0 0
Depth     8
Modes "1280x800" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
EndSubSection
SubSection "Display"
Viewport   0 0
Depth     15
Modes "1280x800" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
EndSubSection
SubSection "Display"
Viewport   0 0
Depth     16
Modes "1280x800" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
EndSubSection
SubSection "Display"
Viewport   0 0
Depth     24
Modes "1680x1050" "1600x1000" "1440x900" "1280x800"

EndSubSection
EndSection

Thanks for the reply nightshift, I have added 1680x1050 to /etc/X11/xorg.conf but it still doesn't appear in the display settings. I also restarted the computer.
