digital clock on the panel, possible?

Installed the latest VL, looks good, is there a way to switch the plain text clock to the digital clock?

You can right click on the panel and after choosing 'Add New Item' select 'Clock' from the list.
In it's properties you can select LED display which is what I think your asking for.

Here's an important bit...
First you should go to Settings-->User Interface Settings and change the theme so the panel color is not black.  Or you will not see the clock at all.

This is only a clock it will not launch a calender like the default.
