I became excited to see version 6 came out, so I went to download then noticed on the front page a few icons I replicated of the V and earth years back because I couldn't find an svg to use in the wallpaper.

It's nice to see it in use.. somewhere.

Unfortunately I don't have it on my computer and I was hoping it was somewhere on your system It's just the v and globe. I believe I did it around Version 4.5.

Hi!
Im the one responsible for VL site graphics. You are the original author of http://upload.snelhest.org/images/09030932413340589.jpg ? I hope u didn't mind me using it, was so nice Smiley.
It was used for the following graphics I linked here http://forum.vectorlinux.com/index.php?topic=3479.msg45264#msg45264
Sorry, even I don't remember where I found that logo, but I was provided with that .jpg, can't find .svg anywhere.

Edit: Also used here http://forum.vectorlinux.com/index.php?topic=5437.0

Edit: Found the svg! http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/vl-artwork/Joe1962/material/logo/vector.svg I hope that's the one!

Holy moola you found it!! I could hug you so tight right now.

Use it.. I think in the forum I said it was open to all.. gpl'd or something along those lines (I'm no legal expert but what i mean by that it's free to use, free to distribute and you can even charge for it if you want...). It was so long ago.

I love the jpg... and it reminded me that I took the SVG through photoshop which is really too bad since that means scaling it would be a bad idea.... but I have the SVG again which means I can take it and (hopefully) do what I initially wanted to do but couldn't.. in S Vector G!

God I love this distro.

PS/Udate: Awesome work man.. did that ever make it into any release? It really does look sweet. The last release I used was I think Version 4.8 SOHO and I'm just coming back to vector now at version 6. (I was forced to buy a macbook pro and then use leopard as my only station for school and had to resist installing anything else on it for way too long for my liking)

The good news is that I just about did what I set out to do to the V and Globe completely in Vector which means we can resize this baby to hell and back.. The bad news is that blend modes are only in the SVG 1.2 working draft so the svg looks weird.. The other bad news is that there's a few glitches and there needs to be a bit of a cleanup before you would want to do something like making it the size of VecZilla.

Here are two PNG's anyway. If anyone needs a particular size or just let me know and I'll output one that size. I can also post the SVG if people want it.
