toothandnail has packaged the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox web browser for VL 6.0.  This package is a security patch that closes three known vulnerabilities listed as "critical" by Mozilla and one more labeled as "high" risk.  See: http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox30.html#firefox3.0.6 .  Security conscious users may wish to upgrade immediately.  This package will be moved to patches as soon as we have adequate user testing.

Installed on Light B3, ignoring deps (GConf, ORBit2, avahi, gnome-vfs, libbonobo, libgnome...). No problems noted so far.

These deps are not a problem with VL Standard, which contains all of the above and more. For Light it becomes somewhat of a dilemma, though.
