stars installs to /usr/bin and can run via terminal and I can exit via key press. nice big pointer

not sure what to use it for..just fun I guess

I often run rocks as wallpaper or  root window but have full access to menus in openbox and the bar in xfce..

.put a copy in the screensaver folder but it does not list in the saver settings..restarted X but did not reboot

.. ideas?

It's not really a screensaver and can't be treated like one.  It's a simple SDL demo application (stand-alone).  I kind of like watching the starfield display, but unless you're a science fiction fan or possibly into astronomy, it may not be all that interesting to anyone else.  Yes, it's just for fun, no particular purpose for that one or xfireworks other than to watch it go.

cool...I like it...will try a toggle and run for fun..I find myself stareing at rocks sometimes thinking while enjoying the image..

gatta like the stand alone programs...I have a collection for windows on a thumb offering a menued list of stand alones for any windows provideing basic function like burning etc...with linux I have a complete os and apps on a thumb...anyway

who does not like some SI-FI
