I'm Afraid I've reached the end of my ability on this one. I've been trying to package hydrogen-0.9.4beta3 and have suceeded to some extent been able to get the thing to build but when I install the finished build
get the following error message in Terminal -
Code: [Select]
hydrogen: error while loading shared libraries: libQtGui.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

That file is in /usr/lib/qt4 it's also in /usr/lib/qt4-4.5.0
but the program can't seem to find it.

if I install hydrogen-0.9.3 from slackware it runs fine.
I've been unsucessful in building the older version 0.9.3 on VL 6.0

any of you other packager want to give this one a try or point me in the right direction ?

Dave  ???

P.S. Been working on this one for days and maybe just overlooking the obvious.

is /usr/lib/qt4 in your /etc/resolv.conf file?

I think Uel means /etc/ld.so.conf

If he doesn't I will eat my shoe :D

since /usr/lib/qt4 should be a symlink to /usr/lib/qt4-4.5.0 you should only need one of them in there.
after adding that you should run "ldconfig"

Hi uelsk8s,

Still getting the same error message added the line usr/lib/qt4 , ran ldconfig and rebuilt the package and still getting this error:

Code: [Select]
hydrogen: error while loading shared libraries: libQtGui.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

any Ideas?  I'm wondering if it's looking for qt4 in a non stardard location or something like that.

the lib is in /usr/lib/qt-4.5.0/lib/libQtGui.so.4  so you need to have /usr/lib/qt4/lib
in your /etc/ld.so.conf not /usr/lib/qt4

That worked , thanks

Dave   :)

P.S. now how can I modify the build script so it will add that line to the ld.so.conf ?
