And if I might add to the request...

Could we try to split these packages?
I'd like to see every component packaged separately and may be a common package that contains needed stuff for all components.

Maybe we can keep users who only use writer and calc (like myself) from downloading the whole 90MB suite.

I don't think they can be easily split.   They aren't designed to be divided and have a lot of common code.
eMachines EL-1300G desktop, 1.6GHz AMD Athlon 2650e CPU, 4GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 6150 SE video
CentOS 6.5 (will try VL64-7.1 soon)

Toshiba Satellite A135-S4727,  Intel Pentium T2080 / 1.73 GHz, 2GB RAM, Intel GMA 950

HP Mini 110 netbook, 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 2GB RAM, Intel 950 video, VL 7.1

Actually, they come split from OOo.  If you look at the genuine distribution you'll see it's comprised of 20 or so RPM's or DEB's.  So whomever has been making the Vector/Slackware packages is intentionally combining them.

And yes, 3.0.1 is stable now.
