Hi!
I am presently using Vector Linux on my laptop without much problem. I have an old laptop and I wanted to know if VL has the support (in terms of drivers, etc) for it to run smoothly.
the specifications are the following -
Broadcom chipset with PCI-ID 4320
I tried running Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04, but it would not detect the hardware (for the wifi). In fact, all Ubuntu distros other than 8.04 do not detect the hardware. I tried using ndiswrapper and bf43wcutter, but all gave the same result - cannot detect hardware! I tried on Debian (Lenny, I think) as well, and wasn't successful. I'm desperate to find an OS that can detect my hardware and can allow me to access wifi networks!
Has anyone tried running VL on similar hardware? Does it work without giving any problems?
