How does one add an icon to the desktop, such as for starting Firefox?

- Firefox has already an Icon.
- you can, sure. I just depends on your window manager.
- Don't double post.

I have 6.0 lite.  Right clicking on an existing icon doesn't do it.  Next clue?

try opening the file manager and goto /usr/share/applications...right click the application you want then click copy.. goto /home/desktop in the file manager and paste..the icon should be on the desktop if I am not mistaken..

hope it helps

cheers
