Please tell us about your experiences with this release.

Time set to MDT has to be set for correct time zone with vasmcc.

Resolution incorrectly set. Has to be corrected in xorg.conf manually.

Sound has to be activated first wtih vasmcc alsaconf.

Unable to set time display on panel to 24 hour.

Menu-System-ManagePrinting gives error 404, however, Cups page opens when accessed with vasmcc.

Both my USB connected Printers, Epson and Brother are not detected by cups, therefore unable to print.

Mouse wheel scrolling not working.

In KDE, you can configure the clock by right-clicking on the panel indicator and selecting the proper entry. Time zone, format, appearance and more is available.

Auto-detection is not perfect. Seems like it's struggling with your system. Fortunately, you know how to work around it. Did you try the alternate auto-probe option?

Mouse wheel depends on proper X detection and configuration. If it ends up using defaults, it will not work. Usually, selecting manual (vxconf) gives the best results.

Cups: what happens if you enter "htmlview http://localhost:631/" in a terminal?

vxconf takes care of correct resolution and wheel scrolling. I will check as well booting
 with option vector 1280 I just saw.

The panel clock does not really change the time zone setting. It offers different
zones to set, however, stays with the original MDT it booted in. Only setting
time zone with vasm does fully change correctly and will not mess in my box later.

When booting with "alternative autoprobe for video" or  "Command line vga=791"
trying to open cups as htmlview http://localhost:631/ gives error 404. Booting
with "vesa video" cups site opens with localhost. The others need the number
127......

Brother USB connected printer is only detected when printer is switched on.
I cannot add it since when asking for root and password a blank is not accepted
besides that there is no driver which I would have to download first.

I am very pleased with this new updated version of VL6.0 KDE-Classic. The Live Installer is awesome. The installation process is very fast, simplified and optimized...
I love the lightning speed and the great performance of this KDE version!!!

I have problems with correct system time, while I have installed VL6.0 KDE-Classic-Live Beta 2 and VL6.0 SOHO RC2 on the same machine. When I adjust the clock to internet server with one of the VLs the other outputs incorect system time- time in the future when starts loading and checking file system.

Yeah, the live version uses the time and zone settings I have on my machine.
After installation, it is necessary to run (as root, in a terminal): vasm > hardware > zoneset (and dateset).

Good point. The LiveCD uses blank passwords for convenience. You would have to assign a root password before setting up cups.

Looks like a video driver issue to me. The base system and drivers are the same as VL6 Std. You should post a separate thread in the "X-rated" section of the forum.

By the way I want to know how to change the video driver? I think at installation choosed the first option X.org or something..., not the proprietary Ati driver. May work with another driver?!
