I had no trouble setting up wireless (WPA) in Vector Light-6 on my little Toshiba R150 laptop using Wicd. Unlike InTheWoods (in this recent post:

http://forum.vectorlinux.com/index.php?topic=8110.msg55325#msg55325) I wish I could get the wireless to be up and running every time I turn my computer on, rather than having to run Wicd manually.
InTheWoods & adamlau received advice on getting the Wicd daemon to run automatically at startup, either by modifying the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file or by using the Control Center (VASM --> services). I tried both methods, but the result both times was that Wicd simply stopped being able to see any wireless networks at all, let alone connect to the one I wanted. Any ideas?
