Author Topic: I can't shutdown system as user  (Read 1275 times)

Hello everybody
My first problem. As root when I click Menu/Quit it shows normal box with Log off, Shutdown etc, but when do it as user it quit form xfce to gdm, like loging off, so I can't shutdown form Xfce.
Any solution?

Hi
I am useing xfce with VL6 and on the bar near the clock is a "green stickperson running" icon or button...when I click it i get the choice to log out, reboot or shutdown...can not remember useing the menu item.. yet.. but will have a look when I get back to the cottage on the weekend

edit: I have the same results with the menu quit..so perhaps as mentioned below something is changed on your system causeing issue...

Have you done any updates?
Changed anything in configuration?

Please post the contents of your /etc/group file.
