Need a PDF Editor
« on: April 17, 2009, 06:57:05 am »
Hi folks,

I'm working to migrate all of my business/office needs to Vector Linux 6.0, the ONLY distro that correctly sees both the video card and wireless card on this laptop.

However, I need a program to edit pdf documents.  Something like PDFedit, probably.  I've searched the repositories and the forum and can't seem to find anything that will do what I need to do, so I'm here to ask if anyone knows if there is an app that will edit pdfs for Vector or if anyone is working on something like that.

Thanks in advance,
Sully

Never heard of such a beast, but googling came around their SF page. Definitely something we should have in our repos... I will give it a shot some time.

Try PDFedit,  you can install it from source. (Configure, make, 'make install')

There is a tutorial on installing PDFedit here...

One trick I think I remember that may help.  You have to open the pdf with pdfedit. Then save it to another name. Then open it again to begin editing.
